Ominous
Horizons from N-Lightning Software!
What
hole have I been hiding in to have missed reporting about the coming
of this new game from the Christian developers who brought us Catechumen.
This morning, their game arrived at my doorstep and you can bet
that I'll be cracking it open and giving it a thorough test ASAP.
In the meantime, you can get some information about the game by
going to their website here.

FULL
Review of CJ's Clubhouse
We
took our merry time and gave the full CD a great workout. My brutal,
unforgiving Children put the CD through its paces while I watched.
Did the full CD live up to the potential shown in the Demo? We think
they pulled it off. Check out the full review here
to find out why.

In
addition to getting the review of Archangel
out, we've just found out about Spiritual
Warfare RPG system. It's still in the works but we'll have a
comment or two about it soon. We also found out about two new FPS
type Christian games that are nearing completion. These were done
by independent groups or individuals. We'll have full preview/reviews
up shortly, but if you want to find out more for yourself now, then
check out Revelation
7 and The

Metalface
Paper/Pencil RPG Available
The
folks at Eternal Tempest sent me this press release. They are a
Christian company dedicated to developing Christian alternatives
to poplular games. Metalface is a futuristic RPG where you can transfer
souls into robots, but not without some pretty serious consequences.

CJ's
Closet
While
at E3, we ran across this interesting kids game called CJ's Closet.
It looks very promising and while the full game is yet to be released,
Eric got his hands on the demo and put his kids to work playing
it. The results can be read here.
This is a preview and we will update to a full review when the game
comes out and we get our hands on the complete version of the game.

you are into E3, this isnt' the most timely article, but it's entertaining

a new Christian game. Read all about it here

Response
Has Been Overwhelming
Wow,
I've gotten so many emails from people offering to help wtih this
site. I'm simply overwhelmed. My call for help happened just as
Breakaway Christian Magazine said something about ChristianGaming
and so we've gotten a buch of new visitors who're excited about
the vision for Christian Gaming on the web.
Expect to see some new reviews up soon.
Unfortunately,
all this coincided with a sharp upturn in my responsibilities at
work. So, it's going to take me a while to get through everyone's
email so if you've written in and not yet heard from me, you'll
be getting an email this week for sure. In the meantime, keep those
emails coming in. We may have turned the corner here, but we're
still only at the starting gate for getting Christian Gaming running
smoothly.
God Bless,
Eric Slick,
Founder of ChristianGaming.com

HELP!
Yes,
you got it. I'm through with subtleties. We need help. I'm very
busy now working on Simutronics' latest game development and I'm
left with little time and energy to do additional reviews and content
updates to this site. Over the last year, several helpful individuals
have contributed content but no regular help has yet to materialize.
So, I'm
putting the call out for help. I need people who can dedicate consistent
time expanding and improving ChristianGaming with reviews, news,
adding new aspects to the site (message forums and chat areas for
instance). Only the serious need contact me please. If you think
you have the time, the calling and the motivation to help, contact
me at commitment@christiangaming.com

Sword
of Elyon
A
beautiful web adventure worth checking out simply for the lush pictures.
The gameplay is pretty straight forward but there is some challenge
to it, especially if you're not familiar with scripture. But
even if you are not, iit's not overly hard and the right choices
are obvious once you read through the scripture choices.

Jarod's
Journey makes it out the door
Jarod's
Journey is an Interactive Fiction title. That is, it's a text
based game. Now, don't knock text based games. They
can be a huge amount of fun. Check this one out here.
You'll just need to download the game, install it and run it from
your hard drive.
Keep in mind that this is a demo and will be fleshed out in the
future. But there's enough there to enjoy.

Project
X Makes News On "Lum the Mad"
To my
surprise, an article appeared on Lum
the Mad about Project X. If
you want to read what was said you can go directly to the article
by clicking here.
The article generated a large set of posts (funny, thoughtful, sad
and typical) so it's easy to see that the idea of a Christian MMORPG
brings out the passion in people.
