Positions Open

None of these are paid positions since this site generates no revenue, yet.  However, if the idea of a Christian Gaming site interests you and you'd like to help us grow and don't mind working for free, check out the positions listed below and contact us with a brief cover letter and a listing of your qualification and experiences. Resume's are nice, but not necessary.

There is a very small chance that these positions couldl become paid some day but that all depends on whether we can actually make money at this, which is theoretically possible but currently unproven (and for the last few years we've generated no revenues).  IE, don't do this if money is your main motivation. This is more a hobby and ministry than a job that'll pay for your next meal, no matter how much we hope and pray that some day it will (especially if we land some investment dollars).

I hate to be a pessimist but it's unlikely we're going to fill these positions with highly trained "will work for free for a totally cool website" people so if you really think you can add something to the site and are talented out the wazoo, we'd love to hear from you. And if you are highly trained, we like you too :)

Send us a brief description of yourself, what talents you can bring to the site and why you're crazy enough to work really hard without pay.  But seriously folks, we are looking for like-minded, talented people to help us with a project we think is fun, cool and has great potential.  Besides, we have good personalities?

We have had a number of people work on the website and forums over the years. The forums have been lucky to have a number of people dedicated to helping the people who post there enjoy themselves. Due to the huge problem with stability on the main site and moving to three servers, getting hacked a few times, etc., the poor volunteers on the website have had it hard. The current site we are on is much more stable and is much nicer to work with. So, we should be able to re-start work on the website.

Regardless of the fancy job titles listed below, the bottom line is that we need people to work on the website, to add content and to work on developing the new site. We need designers, writers, artists and programmers. We could use at least one manager and someone in business development. But even if you don't see something within your talents below, and you still think you can contribute, please let us know anyway.

Applicants please visit the forum for further questions.

Web Developers

Responsible for maintaining the news and review site, adding reviews and news created by the writers (if they don't have ftp access). Could involve writing news and reviews (heck, it probably does) as well so writing skills will pay off. Knowledge of HTML and PHP working in a unix environment is required.

Responsible for maintaining the news and review site, adding reviews and news created by the writers (if they don't have ftp access). Could involve writing news and reviews (heck, it probably does) as well so writing skills will pay off

Works on the code base to ensure the website is working well. Also would work on developing the new website that, theoretically, will evetually get done.

Experience with HTML, PSP, CGI, My Sequel, Linux/Apache required. Experience building a technical design to implement a web design is necessary as well. However, we will consider you if you have talent and can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly.

Graphic Artist / 2D Artist

To produce web art for the current site and the new site in development. If we start work on another business proposal for Project X, we will want to create some concept art. You should be proficient in Photoshop and/or Corel.

Reviewers/Writers

Writes game reviews and does interviews with publishers and game designers.  This person/s will seek out potential reviews as well as receiving assignments from the boss.  This person needs to have solid writing skills and an eye for games.  Experience with a wide variety of games is a plus.  Since we are new, publishers are not lining up to send us review copies so until they do, guess what!  You're going to end up having to pick up a copy yourself or borrow one.  Pretty cheap of us, eh?  Probably you have already played a bunch of games and can review what you've already played.  If you can write from the perspective we at ChristianGaming think is best, we'd love to have your reviews added to our site.  A sample needs to be sent with any inquiry.

Web Manager

Great manager/editor who works really cheap (er, free) needed to help supervise all those writers knocking on our virtual gaming site door.  Must have experience and management skills (being able to bring in other writers would be really cool too).  This person will be used...er direct the creative content of the web site.  A person who well understand our perspective and actually likes it is essential.  Otherwise we're just going to yell bad things at each other eventually.  Besides aren't you tired of seeing all the typos on this site?

This person will need to have management experience and be willing to work with novices as well as experienced talent. This person will be responsible for implementing the vision for the website.

Marketing and Promotions

Business and Marketing Manager

If someone is interested in marketing the website, working with investors, seeking out potential investors, etc., we could use your help. We have two main goals here, to promote the website and seek out potential investors for Project X. This is a tough job and would require an extraordinary amount of dedication to do well as it's an uphill battle. Responsibilities also include business development, which would involve preparing business proposals.

Game Development
None at this time

This is what everyone really wants to do.  However, until funding comes through this could be an exercise in frustration.  If a game is funded, there will be need to hire in this area so keep an eye out for information on Project X and consider helping in other ways for now.

However, if you have serious 3D or 2D experience or are a games programmer, we might know of some unnamed game company that might want to hire you instead of us.  Just email us and let us know.
